The Exorcist May Return to Screens
The Exorcist began terrorizing viewers back in 1973, and since then the horror film has managed to acquire several sequels, prequels and a television version. As with most popular horror franchises, Hollywood producers don't want to leave The Exorcist alone.According to rumors, another film in the series is in the works, the main character of which will be the granddaughter of Regan McNeill. The latter, we recall, appeared in the first two parts of the franchise, as well as in the series "The Exorcist". Insiders believe that the girl will be possessed by a demon that must be expelled. Probably, the producers intend to pull the trick popularized by the latest "Halloween", that is, to shoot a sequel and reboot at the same time. This turn of events will come in handy, since the plot of the Exorcist franchise is now full of contradictions, and it would be the best option to ignore the events of all parts except the 1973 original.  The Exorcist is known not only for scaring moviegoers to the point of losing their pulse, but also for problematic filming with quarrels and injuries on the sets, as well as for the fact that its television version only lasted two seasons on FOX.
