Studio Blumhouse is famous for its successful horror films with a small budget and original ideas, but it also succeeds in remakes, as proved last year's "Halloween". Soon, Jason Bloom's production company will delight viewers with a new version of another classic slasher film, Black Christmas. The project team will be led by director Sofia Takal, who worked with Blumhouse on the anthology Into Darkness. The remake will star Imogen Poots (Frank and Lola), and will be accompanied by Alizi Shannon, Brittany O'Grady, Lily Donoghue and Caleb Eberhardt. The film will be shot in New Zealand and will premiere on December 13th. The horror action will unfold in Hawthorne College, the walls of which were empty on the eve of the holidays. However, the campus only dreams of peace: one after another, girls from the sisterhood die at the hands of an unknown maniac. However, the killer has yet to understand that the new generation is not going to play as unfortunate victims, but is ready to fight for survival. It is noteworthy that Black Christmas already got a remake in 2006, but Hollywood, as well as moviegoers, quickly forgot about that unsuccessful attempt.
