The alley of nightmares is never empty
The very idea of a collaboration between Leonardo DiCaprio and Guillermo del Toro was too good to be true. The Oscar laureates wanted to walk along the Alley of Nightmares together, but the parties failed to agree, and DiCaprio will not participate in the filming of del Toro's new film. However, the director did not waste time and has already found a replacement for Leo in the person of Bradley Cooper. Insiders report that the actor recently received an offer and began negotiations with del Toro and the producers.If the parties come to an agreement, then Cooper will play the charming Stanton Carlisle, who takes a job in a traveling circus. Watching pathetic freaks ready to be a laughing stock to the delight of the crowd, Stan is amazed at how low a person can fall. The protagonist is sure that he will never come to this point in his life, and his intelligence, exorbitant ambition and ruthlessness will help him achieve success. Stan goes from being a psychic in the company of a stupid beauty assistant to a spiritualist with access to the richest houses, and the whole world seems to be at his feet. But everything changes after meeting with a woman who can outwit a skilled manipulator ... "Alley of Nightmares" is based on the novel of the same name by William Lindsay Gresham. In 1947, the book was already filmed, but the director Edmund Goulding was quite free to dispense with the original. Del Toro wants to make a film as close as possible to the work of Gresham.  After the success of The Star Is Born, many are eagerly awaiting Cooper's next directorial project, a biopic of legendary composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. The picture is still in development, so it will not prevent Cooper from taking part in the shooting of "Nightmare Alley", scheduled for the fall.
