Found a new star for Transformers?

Image The era of Michael Bay in the "Transformers" universe ended with the fact that the box office box office dropped significantly, and devastating reviews from critics became commonplace. Paramount continues to develop the franchise, and the studio has a range of projects in development, from the Bumblebee sequel to the animated Transformers. The major also plans to reboot the main film series. Insiders just managed to find out that the producers are eyeing Lucas Hedges ("Erased Personality", "Manchester by the Sea") - it is he who, according to rumors, will play the main role in the updated "Transformers".

According to preliminary information, Hedges will play Spike Whitwicky. Recall that Shia LaBeouf played the role of Sam Whitwicky in three parts of the franchise. Paramount bosses deliberately decided not to change the name of the protagonist in order to emphasize once again: the new "Transformers" is a full-fledged reboot of the film series, and not a sequel to the films of Michael Bay.

At 23, Lucas Hedges boasts Oscar and Golden Globe nominations. The blockbusters journey seems like a logical continuation of his stellar career. Ironically, in the biographical drama Sweet Boy, Hedges played a character copied from Shia LaBeouf.
