King's Confrontation will receive a new ending
CBS used a visit to the Television Critics Association's summer press tour to highlight the progress of the adaptation of Stephen King's novel Confrontation. The main surprise of the presentation was the information that the creation of the mini-series will take place with the active participation of the King of Horrors.The key event of the event was supposed to be the announcement of the cast of the TV project, however, insiders confused CBS's plans. Back in June, we reported that James Marsden, Amber Heard, Odessa Young, Henry Zaga, Whoopi Goldberg and Greg Kinnear are claiming the lead roles in Confrontation. As a result, the creators of the series only officially confirmed some of this information. The names of Goldberg and Kinnear were not mentioned: either the stars have not yet signed contracts, or Hollywood sources made a mistake in their predictions. But insiders did not miss the mark with other actors and their characters. As expected, Marsden will appear as Stu Redman's calculator factory employee, and Heard will reincarnate as Nadine Cross, a school teacher. Young will play student Frannie Goldsmith, and Zaga will play the deaf and dumb tramp Nick Endros.  King will act as a consultant for the project and will personally write the script for the final episode. The management of the online service CBS All Access decided to surprise the fans of the novel about the confrontation of the forces of good and evil. The Horror King is expected to come up with a completely new ending to the post-apocalyptic saga. Judging by the preliminary information, this is not a short epilogue, but a serious revision of the final chapters of the book.
