Randall Flagg and Mother Abagail meet new supporters

Image The TV adaptation of King's Standoff continues to recruit new recruits. This time, the cast of the series was joined by three at once: Catherine McNamara ("Arrow", "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure"), Eion Bailey ("The Last Tycoon") and Hamish Linklater ("Legion"). Earlier, we recall that James Marsden, Amber Heard, Alexander Skarsgard, Brad William Henke, Henry Zaga, Jovan Adepo, Odessa Young, Owen Teague and Whoopi Goldberg signed their contracts for filming the ten-episode show.

The original novel by Stephen King, published in 1978, follows a group of survivors of a deadly virus. The fate of the remnants of humanity depends on the 108-year-old Abagail (Goldberg) and several of the most active and positive supporters of the forces of good. And they are opposed by a sinister person named Randall Flagg (Skarsgard) and his henchmen in the form of representatives of any antisocial rabble.

Katherine McNamara will play Julie Lowry, a small-town girl who fights Lloyd in Las Vegas, Bailey will play Teddy Visak from Boulder, Colorado, and Hamish Linklater will play Dr. Ellis, an infectious disease specialist. In total, there are more than a hundred characters in this opus of the King of Horrors, so this is most likely not the last casting news from the set of the show.

The production of the series has already started and is taking place in Vancouver. It is known that King will write the script for the last episode of "Confrontation" himself, having composed the ending, which was not in the original.
