Dane DeHaan became King's villain

Image Stephen King invented many horror films on a supernatural theme, but the most striking villains of his books were most often not mystical creatures, but ordinary people. It is not surprising that Apple was very careful in looking for an actor to play the antangonist of the mini-series Lizzie's Story.

King's novel of the same name was published in 2006. The book earned rave reviews in the press and earned the King of Horror nominations for the World Fantasy Award and the Bram Stoker Award. The idea for the plot came to Stephen in 1999 when he was hit by a car. The writer received serious injuries and underwent a long course of rehabilitation. When he returned home, he found that his wife was trying to calm her nerves, rearranging things in the office. King immediately got the idea for a novel about the widow of popular fiction writer Scott Landon, who had to sort through her husband's papers and unfinished books.

Earlier it became known that the image of the inconsolable widow will be embodied by Julianne Moore, and Clive Owen will appear in the role of the deceased author. Today, the creators of the TV project have closed a deal with another talented actor. Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man: High Voltage, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets) has joined the Lizzie Tales team, playing Jim Dooley, an insane fan of Landon's work.

Obviously, the filming of an eight-part mini-series is just around the corner. Pablo Larrain ("Jackie") will be in the director's chair.
