The Favorite Team will bring the Hawkline Beast to life
Richard Brautigan's novel Hockline Beast could have made it to the big screens in the 1980s, starring Jack Nicholson and Dustin Hoffman. However, the fate of the film adaptation was not very successful: the tape is still at the development stage. In December, light dawned at the end of this tunnel when Yorgos Lanthimos took over the project. Hockline Beasts preproduction is progressing and Lanthimos has found a companion.The filmmaker did not have to go far: he turned to Oscar nominee Tony McNamara, with whom he had already worked on The Favorite, for help. The writer is also known for the comedy "Ashby" and the recently released TV series "The Great". The original piece is a gothic western. Two unlucky mercenaries from the Wild West receive a task from a young girl - it is necessary to kill a monster that lives in the caves under Miss Hockline's house. However, it turns out that in fact the story with the monster and Ms. Hockline herself are not as simple as it might seem at first glance.  It is not yet known how Lanthimos and McNamara intend to adapt Brautigan's novel, but one thing is for sure - the result will be something extraordinary.
