The famous British director and screenwriter Richard Curtis will delight viewers with another Christmas story. The creator of Real Love is preparing an animated film based on his own books for young readers. The plot of the cartoon will be based on three works by Richard: "Empty Stocking", "Snowy Day" and "That Christmas." The story is set in a small coastal town. Cinema fans will find several captivating storylines intertwined in the spirit of Love Real. The cartoon will be produced by London studio Locksmith Animation. Curtis will write the screenplay in collaboration with Peter Souter ("Marital Status (underline as appropriate):"). The director's chair for the project is still vacant. Christmas and New Year's motives play an important role in Curtis's work: the winner of the BAFTA honorary award turned to the theme of winter wonders in the creation of "Black Viper", "Mr. Bean", "Bridget Jones's Diary" and many other film and television hits.
