USAn short film will go to Berlin
The short film competition program of the 70th Berlin Film Festival included the film “My Galactic Twin Galaktion” directed by Alexander Svirsky. The film is only seven minutes long, making it the shortest of the 25 films selected for the competition. Svirsky has more than 15 animated short films, which he created over ten years.This year the jury of the short film competition included Hungarian animator Reka Buksi, Turkish representative Fatma Colakoglu and African director Lemohang Jeremiah Mozese. The head of the festival jury will be British actor and Oscar winner Jeremy Irons. The Berlin Festival is one of the most significant in the world of contemporary cinema. Last year, Nadav Lapid's drama Synonyms won the Golden Bear, and Umbra, directed by German director Florian Fischer, became the best short film. Berlinale 2020 will start its work on February 20.
