New stories to tell in the dark
Entertainment One loved to create monsters and scare impressionable viewers. A Canadian film company is preparing a sequel to last year's horror film Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.The adaptation of Alvin Schwartz's short stories received 78% freshness on Rotten Tomatoes and grossed nearly $ 106 million on a $ 25 million budget. After this success, it became clear that the announcement of the sequel would only be a matter of time. Entertainment One will retain the original's main voice-overs. The script will be written by Guillermo del Toro and the Hague brothers, and Andre Ovredal will return to the director's chair. The authors of "Scary Stories 2" are unlikely to have difficulties in finding new ideas: Schwartz has three collections of horror stories, 25-29 stories in each.
