Farewell to the mutants
It seems that the Walt Disney empire has finally decided on the fate of the long-suffering movie comic "New Mutants". According to authoritative Hollywood sources, the film will still get wide distribution.Josh Boone's teenage horror was supposed to be released in April 2018, but 20th Century Fox sent the film off for filming and postponed the premiere until better times. Then the deal between the Fox and Disney corporations intervened, as a result of which the rights to the painting went to the House of Mouse. The failure of "Dark Phoenix" left Disney with a difficult choice - either release the movie in theaters with the risk of another failure, or take the safe route and send the last part of the Fox universe to streaming services. Recently, viewers found the movie comic on Amazon's upcoming release list. The online service rushed to withdraw pre-orders for New Mutants, but by that time rumors had already spread on the Internet that Disney would not wait for the opening of cinemas and would release the film straight online.  It looks like netizens jumped at conclusions. According to insiders, the studio will not refuse theatrical distribution of the picture.
