The talented Mr. Ripley is in a hurry on TV
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , the Patricia Highsmith series of novels about Mr. Ripley will be televised through the joint efforts of Television 360 and Endemol Shine Studios .The series will be executive produced by Guymon Kasady (The Expendables) and Ben Forkner (Easy Money). They plan to find a writer who can adapt all five novels in the series and an actor for the lead role before selling the show to any channel or online service. Kasady and Forkner are longtime admirers of Highsmith , and their decision to make a series based on her works came just the same year that the famous character turned 60 years (the first novel was published in 1955, and the last - in 1991).  The filmmakers want to go beyond In the Bright Sun by Rene Clement and Anthony Minghella's The Talented Mr. Ripley, each based on the first book in the series, to reveal the depth and complexity of Tom Ripley 's character, fully show his sophistication. In total, in the history of cinema, he became the hero of five films, and among the performers of the role of Mr. Ripley you can find Alain Delon and Matt Damon.
