The film adaptation of Metro 2033 has found a second wind

Image The popular first-person shooter Metro 2033 , based on the novel of the same name by Dmitry Glukhovsky, will still be adapted for large screens. As The Tracking Board has exclusively learned, Michael de Luca and Solipsist Films will be filming, which sees the start of a new franchise in the spirit of "Mad Max" or "The Hunger Games".

The rights to film the book were bought back in 2012 by MGM studio, and Gran Via was producing the project. F. Scott Fraser (Digital Radio) was entrusted with writing the script for the future film, and this version of the text de Luca and his partners, Alyssa Phillips and Stephen L'Ore, will take as a basis.

Glukhovsky's novel is set in post-apocalyptic Moscow 20 years after the survivors of a nuclear war found refuge in the subway. Here they created their own semblance of a state and raised an entire generation that had not seen daylight. The main character Artem embarks on a dangerous journey to the surface, and the fate of all mankind depends on his decisions.
