Klim Shipenko is filming the author's novel ”Metro 2033”
On the production base of the video service Start, work has begun on the adaptation of the first realistic novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky "Text". Klim Shipenko (Salyut-7) was appointed director.Alexander Petrov ("T-34") will play the main role, his character is Ilya Goryunov, who returned to Moscow after serving a seven-year sentence in a colony on false charges of drug dealing. Once free, Ilya sees a changed world around him, with which nothing connects him - his mother died shortly before his return, his friends became strangers, the “house” to which he dreamed of returning has disappeared. But one day he finds a page on the social network of Pyotr Khazin (Ivan Yankovsky), an officer of the Federal Drug Control Service, through whose efforts he ended up behind bars. After meeting with him, Ilya's smartphone turns out to be Peter's smartphone, and with it his entire virtual life - photos, videos, correspondence with colleagues, parents and girlfriend Nina (Christina Asmus). And, taking the path of revenge, Ilya puts on the guise of his offender. Dmitry Glukhovsky said that during the writing of the novel, the images of the characters were either blurred or reminiscent of specific people. However, the writer decided not to participate in the casting, stating that it was the director's prerogative, while the writer's business was to write.  According to Klim Shipenko, the novel was written for the subsequent film adaptation. His entire concept, images, scenes and author's style will be preserved as much as possible during filming. According to the director, he has never seen anything like this in our or foreign cinema. The first scenes have already been filmed in the Maldives with the heroes of Ivan Yankovsky ("Come to see me") and Christina Asmus ("The Interns"), and on January 27, the official start of filming for the thriller was announced, in commemoration of which a plate was traditionally broken. The writer Dmitry Glukhovsky is known to readers for his books Metro 2033, Twilight, Metro 2034, The Future and Metro 2035. The adaptation of his bestseller Metro 2033 has been postponed indefinitely for a number of reasons, including the transfer of the book's action to the United States, as a result of which the plot has changed, and for the American viewer, communists, Nazis and black mutants will be quite difficult for correct perception, for which calculated by the author.
