As reported by The Tracking Board , Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence is in talks to take the lead role in the thriller Red Sparrow", directed by Francis Lawrence.The film, based on the novel by Jason Matthews, tells the story ofUSA spy Dominica Egorova , tasked with seducing and declassifying CIA agent Nathaniel Nash , who has the information the USA government needs. But soon the relationship between the main characters takes a completely unexpected turn ... If the negotiations are successful, Lawrence will try on the image of Dominica Egorova . 20th Century Fox acquired the film rights to Matthews back in 2013. Then Darren Aronofsky applied for the post of director. Later, he was replaced by David Fincher, who saw Rooney Mara in the lead role, but the actress did not agree to take part in the filming.  Francis Lawrence took over as director of the film in July this year. The latest script was written by Eric Singer (American Scam) and produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Stephen Zeyllian and Garrett Basch.  Red Sparrow may be the fourth collaboration project for Jennifer Lawrence and Francis Lawrence . The actress and director had previously worked together on three films of the Hunger Games franchise.
