Jennifer Lawrence may continue her collaboration with director Francis Lawrence, begun on the set of The Hunger Games. According to Deadline, the actress has been offered the lead role in the director's new spy thriller, Red Sparrow. The project will be based on the work of Jason Mattes. The action takes place in modern USA, and in the center of the plot is intelligence officer Dominika Yegorova, who seeks to find her place in the reinforced concrete bureaucratic machine of the post-Soviet intelligence service. The task of the heroine is to seduce and recruit representatives of foreign intelligence services, and her main goal is CIA resident Nathaniel Nash. Naturally, a romantic relationship arises between the two agents, which ends with the recruitment of Yegorova herself. Becoming a secret agent of the CIA, she not only seeks revenge on her soulless mentors from the USA intelligence, but also to find a high-ranking "mole" in Washington.
