Twin Peaks will host 217 pleasant guests
Showtime has announced the end of filming for the third season of Twin Peaks . On this occasion, the creators of the cult mystical thriller David Lynch and Mark Frost decided to publish a list of actors who took part in creating a new chapter in the story of a quiet American town with dark secrets.The casting list of the project has 217 names and is full of pleasant surprises. The news of the return of the serial drama came to the screens in October 2014, and a few months later it became known that in the image of the agent Dale Cooper fans of "Twin Peaks " will see Kyle McLachlan again. Since then, David Lynch's team has been quite successful in keeping information about the rest of the miniseries cast under wraps. Medken Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Sherilyn Fenn, Sherrill Lee, Miguel Ferrer, Peggy Lipton, Russ Tamblyn, Ray Wise, Alicia Witt, David Duchovny and others are reportedly returning to familiar roles in the revived "Twin Peaks " many other actors.  The list of newcomers to the series was no less impressive. The old-timers of "Twin Peaks " will be accompanied on the screen by such stars of cinema, television and the world of music as Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Madeleine Zima, Amanda Seyfred, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Cera, Laura Dern, Ernie Hudson , Jeremy Davis, Ashley Judd, Robert Knepper, Matthew Lillard, Josh McDermitt, Sarah Paxton, Sky Ferreira, Trent Reznor, Tom Sizemore, James Belushi, Monica Bellucci ...  Among the most famous original cast members who are missing from the casting list are Michael Ontkin (Sheriff Harry S. Truman ), Lara Flynn Boyle ( Donna Hayward ) and Piper Laurie ( Catherine Packard Martell ). It was originally planned for the new season to be nine episodes, but then Showtime gave the opportunity to Lynch to turn the script into one big movie. The project is now entering the post-production stage, during which David will have to split the footage into episodes.  Twin Peaks Season 3 is expected to premiere next year.
