According to The Hollywood Reporter , Zac Efron is ready to put on a Malibu lifeguard uniform and head to the beautiful beaches of California. The actor is in talks to join Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on the set of a remake of the hit 90s TV series.Recently, the project received a second wind and director in the person of Seth Gordon. Damien Shannon and Mark Swift wrote the final script for the film, while Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman are among the producers of the remake. Filming is scheduled to start in February 2016. In the story, a serious and meticulous rescuer ( Johnson ) is forced to join forces with a young and reckless bully ( Efron ) to save the beach from the harmful influence of a major oil tycoon./ i>  In recent years, Efron has worked with several large studios, and the number of his projects is constantly growing.
