The first draft of the script was written by Reed Carolyn ("Super Mike"), and at the helm of the biopic they originally wanted to put Peter Berg ("Survivor"). After the latter unexpectedly left the project, the producers rushed to find a replacement in the person of Darren Aronofsky . In his youth, Knievel changed several professions, regularly received fines for speeding, participated in ski jumping competitions and even played hockey with the Olympic team of Czechoslovakia.

The real fame came to Evel in the mid 60s, when he began to participate in performances with stunts on motorcycles. In 1969, Knievel attempted to jump over the fountains of the famous Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The stunt man managed to fly almost 43 meters, but upon landing he received multiple injuries that sent him to a hospital bed for 29 days. During his career, Knievel has made dozens of crazy jumps on motorcycles, getting into the Guinness Book of Records as the person with the most fractures - 433.

The role of Knievel Sony bosses have entrusted Channing Tatum, who will also act as the producer of the biopic.
