After months of searching for Harrison Ford's successor, Disney is finally ready to name the actor who will play the new Han Solo . According to the site Page Six , Ford will be followed by Alden Ehrenreich .At the final stage of the selection, the actor was able to bypass such rivals as Taron Egerton and Jack Raynor, and initially more than two and a half thousand people applied for the role of Han Solo , among whom were other young Hollywood stars - Miles Teller. Ansel Elgort, Emory Cohen and Dave Franco. Heading the as-yet-unnamed spin-off about Han Solo Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Macho and the Nerd), franchise veteran Laurence Kazdan co-wrote with his son John. And although the details of the plot are traditionally not disclosed, insiders have learned that Chewbacca will play a key role in the blockbuster. Boba Fett may also appear in the film.  Alden Ehrenreich came to the attention of Hollywood filmmakers after the release of "Beautiful Creatures". This was followed by the role of Woody Allen in the drama "Jasmine" and in the comedy of the Coen brothers "Long Live Caesar!".
