Image As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , Darren Aronofsky and Scott Franklin will be producing a film about drug dealer Richard Versche through their company Protozoa Pictures .

The screenplay was written by Andy Weiss (The Intermediaries). In the center of the plot is theteenager Richard Versh , who in the mid-80s played an important role in the drug trafficking scheme in Detroit. At 14, he became an undercover informant for the FBI and UBN , assisting federal agencies in solving corruption cases in the police and city hall. Three years later, Versh was arrested for possession of eight kilograms of cocaine and then sentenced to life in prison without parole.
