The first dubbed trailer of the biographical drama "White Guy Rick" featuring Oscar-winning Matthew McConaughey has appeared on the Web. Set in the 80s of the last century, the film tells the story of drug dealer Richard Versh Jr., who managed to become an undercover FBI informant as a teenager, based on real events. Thanks to the work of this high school student, the police uncovered many criminal schemes.However, in 1988, the young man was detained with a mountain of drugs and sentenced to life imprisonment without the right to early release. The filmmakers will try to figure out whether the law enforcement agencies are to blame for the fact that the young informant himself turned into a criminal, and also to understand why Versh Jr. is still serving his sentence if the law by which he was convicted no longer works. The film was directed by Berlin Film Festival laureate Jan Demange (71), and a whole team of writers including Andy Weiss (Set-up) and Logan Miller (Fresh Water) worked on the script, and Darren Aronofsky is among the producers. Matthew McConaughey was joined on set by Jennifer Jason Lee (Patrick Melrose) and Eddie Marsan (Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell).
