Rita Moreno, star of West Side Story and one of 15 people who have won four major awards in the history of American show business (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony), will take part in the filming of the remake classic musical.According to the MovieWeb portal, she will act not only as an actress, but also as an executive producer of Steven Spielberg's new project. The famous director decided to reshoot one of the best American musicals when Disney studio pushed back the start date of work on the fifth part of the Indiana Jones franchise to 2021 due to the finalization of the script. “I couldn't even dream that I would ever be able to return to this story! And being invited by Steven Spielberg himself is fantastic! I am delighted to be working with Tony Kushner, he is an insanely talented screenwriter, ”- said Rita Moreno in an official statement.  In the original film, Moreno played Anita, and it was this role that earned her an Oscar. In the remake, she appears as the owner of the shop where the main character Tony works.
