Household contacts of the third degree

Image Projects with a bias in fiction, concerning illegal entry into a home, have recently become popular among Hollywood studios. Not so long ago, Blumhouse acquired the rights to the screenplay for a thriller about a home invasion during the arrival of aliens on Earth, and now Paramount has staked out something similar for itself.

As the portal Deadline found out, the major bought the rights to the script for the tape called Intruders, which was written by James W. Simpson. Until now, in the author's filmography, one could only find the crime thriller "The Collector".

The details of the film's plot have not yet been disclosed, but its concept is inspired by Steven Spielberg's "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and the incident in the village of Kelly near Hopkinsville. The incident took place in the summer of 1955. A family of farmers from Kentucky claimed that on the night of August 21-22, aliens attacked their home. The event was widely covered in the press, but few believed the Suttons, and scientists were inclined to believe that it was just an invasion of owls protecting their chicks.

The thriller will be produced by Dan Farah (Ready Player One), Roy Lee (It) and John Berg (Geostorm).
