Film academics recognized cameramen and make-up artists as second-class citizens
It looks like the "Oscar - 2019" will be the most scandalous event in the history of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Today the organizers of the 91st ceremony of presenting the famous award made another unpopular decision, which caused a storm of indignation from the representatives of the world film community.In recent months, Oscar has become synonymous with disaster. At first, the leadership of the Film Academy almost entered a new category with a vague wording "For outstanding achievements in the field of popular cinema." Fortunately, the public accepted this strange initiative with hostility. Then the academics tried to lure Dwayne Johnson to the post of the host of the Oscar - 2019, but the action hero politely refused, citing a busy shooting schedule. The directors of the film organization turned their attention to Rock's friend, Kevin Hart. The negotiations were successful, but in the end the comedian stayed in the role of the host of the Oscar for only two days. As soon as the news of Hart's appointment to this prestigious position appeared on the Web, moral advocates unearthed his old homophobic jokes. The academy hastened to break the deal with the actor, but could not find a replacement for him. As a result, it became known that the Oscar will be held without a host for the first time in 30 years.  Now Academy President John Bailey has implemented a controversial plan to shorten the broadcast of the ceremony. The directors of the film organization naively believe that if the Oscar - 2019 meets in three hours, it will immediately have a positive effect on its television rating. Last year, the Los Angeles broadcast lasted three hours and fifty minutes and attracted just 26.5 million Americans, the worst result in the Oscar's 90-year history. Last summer, LostFilm.INFO reported that in order to shorten the ceremony, academics will try to present some awards during commercial breaks. Today it became known that the winners of four categories at once - Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Fiction Short Film and Best Makeup and Hairstyles - will be overboard from the Dolby Cinema. Bailey vows that cuts with fragments of the victorious speeches of the victors in these nominations will be shown during the ceremony in the recording, but this whole situation looks like a form of mockery of representatives of the most important film specializations. Oscar broadcasts have always provided viewers with the opportunity to meet the invisible fighters of the Hollywood front who make a huge contribution to the success of films. but they often remain in the shadow of stellar actors and directors. Representatives of many trade unions of the Dream Factory have already agreed that in a blind pursuit of television ratings, the Academy risks finally devaluing many technical nominations and dividing the prize winners into people of the first and second grades.
