The Legion and Fargo creator organizes a sect

Image FX continues to expand its collaboration with writer, producer and director Noah Hawley. Deadline has learned that the cable network and one of the most successful figures in modern television will join forces to work on the crime drama Piety.

The details of the project are still kept secret. At the moment, it is only known that the action of the series will unfold in the West of America, and in the center of its plot will be the dark affairs of the participants in a powerful religious cult. The idea of creating a serial drama belongs to the screenwriter of the zombie horror "Fear the Walking Dead" and a member of the author group of the telecomics "Shepherd" Wes Brown.

Brown's screenplay has been submitted to Hawley's 26 Keys Productions. The heads of the studio's TV department liked the ideas of the young screenwriter so much that they immediately redirected the text to the FX bosses.

Hawley's collaboration with FX began with the Fargo anthology, based on the Coen brothers' black comedy of the same name. The crime drama has earned the status of the channel's main hit and has won an impressive collection of prestigious awards. Noah and FX then presented viewers with a bright and stylish adaptation of the Legion comic, which earned a lot of rave reviews in the press. In addition to working on new chapters of these TV hits, Hawley also plans to create a mini-series based on Kurt Vonnegut's novel Cat's Cradle.
