The Curious Story of Noah Hawley
Noah Hawley became known to the general public through the series Fargo and Legion. The adaptation of the comic book about mutant David Haller proved that Hawley has a soft spot for non-standard stories, and Noah also chose a film with an unusual plot for his new full-length project.Deadline learned that Hawley will lead the filming of To Be Read Backwards for 20th Century Fox, with which the director has an agreement. The tape will be based on the story of the same name by Matthew Baker. This year has turned out to be very productive for the writer: the rights to film adaptations of his other three stories were bought by Netflix, Amazon and the independent studio Makeready. The action of the original begins at the moment of the death of the protagonist, and his whole life unfolds in the opposite direction. Along the way, he finds out the truth about himself and the world around him, learns human nature and reveals a certain secret.  The film has not acquired a screenwriter, but 20th Century Fox is planning to find him in the near future, while Hawley completes work on his first feature film, the drama Pale Blue Dot with Natalie Portman in the title role.
