Oscar Isaac may star in new Batman
According to Screen Rant, actor Oscar Isaac met with representatives of Warner Bros. about filming Matt Reeves' new Batman movie. While the picture is at the stage of script creation, almost nothing is known about the plot. Reeves only specified that the new film will not be based on the famous comic strip by Frank Miller "Batman: Year One", as previously reported.The future picture has a rather complicated history. Back in 2016, Ben Affleck confirmed the existence of the project. Then he was ready not only to act, but also to be a screenwriter and director. However, these responsibilities were later assigned to Matt Reeves so that Affleck could focus on the Dark Knight. At the moment, it is known that the director continues to search for an actor for the role of Batman, which means that Affleck can only be involved as a producer. There is still no information about the role of Oscar Isaac, although it is rumored that the star actor can embody the image of the main villain and Batman's opponent - Penguin. Isaac's participation in Star Wars showed that he could well portray a real hero on the screen, but he is also good at sinister and negative characters, for example, the main villain in the film X-Men: Apocalypse or a scientist in the sci-fi thriller From cars". With such a baggage of roles under his belt and a Golden Globe to boot, he is a perfectly suitable candidate for the role of Batman's antagonist.
