Teen Lost

Image Although it has been eight years since the end of Lost, ABC's cult mystical drama continues to inspire many artists. As it became known to The Hollywood Reporter, the young film company Stampede Ventures has acquired the rights to film the adaptation of Kevin Wignall's teen novel When We Were Lost. The book is just being prepared for publication, but has already earned a flattering comparison with the famous TV series about a mysterious island in the Pacific Ocean and William Golding's book Lord of the Flies.

The work of the British writer tells the story of a group of teenagers who survived the crash of an airliner in the jungle of Costa Rica. Soon, the participants in the disaster are faced with the question of who to choose as their leader - the eloquent son of a famous politician or the laconic master of survival. The plot will take an unexpected turn when it turns out that the plane crash was not accidental.

Wignall's novel is expected to hit bookstore shelves next spring.

The adaptation of When We Were Lost has a good chance of becoming Stampede Ventures' first big hit. The independent studio was founded last year by the former chief executive of Warner Bros. Greg Silverman and ex-head of the financial department of Facebook corporation Gideon Y.
