Red Circle to Remake

Image According to the portal Deadline, director Tariq Saleh will take on the production of a detective thriller "Red Circle". It will be a remake of Jean-Pierre Melville's 1970 film of the same name with Alain Delon. The screenplay was written by Oscar nominee Stephen Knight (Peaky Blinders, Dirty Charms). The film will be produced by Arthur Sarkissian (Foreigner) and Graham King, who won an Oscar for The Departed.

The project has been in development for a long time, but now things have gone faster. After a recent meeting with Knight, Saleh began the preparatory phase of work before casting. Jonathan Perera (Sloan's Dangerous Game) is also said to have written the script.

The remake will be based on the story of two American criminals and a police officer from Hong Kong, who decided to commit a sophisticated crime, while trying to hide from the local crime boss and ruthless investigator.
