Johnny Quest's Long Road
For many years, Warner Bros. tries to find an approach to the full-length film about Johnny Quest. According to the information site The Wrap, now director Chris McKay, with whom the major worked on the animation film "The Lego Movie: Batman", will try to crack this tough nut.Johnny Quest is the hero of the popular animated series Hanna-Barbera, released in 1964. Together with his father, scientist Benton Quest, Johnny visits different parts of the Earth to fight the villains. In these adventures they are accompanied by government agent Race Bennon, Indian boy Haji, and also a dog named Bandit. The original animated series lasted only one season and was canceled due to high production costs. Subsequently, Johnny Quest has repeatedly appeared on small screens and on the pages of comics. Once Warner Bros. acquired the rights to the Hanna-Barbera catalog in the 90s, director Richard Donner and producer Lauren Schuler Donner contemplated a full-length version of the show. In 2010, rumors circulated that Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson could star in the game remake, but this was not destined to happen. Recent contenders for the director's chair include Robert Rodriguez, but he seems to be too busy with other films.  While the plot of the remake has not been disclosed, the source claims that the studio has already looked after a certain Hollywood star for the role of Bennon. The future collaboration of Chris McKay and WB will not be limited to one "Johnny Quest": the director still has to shoot Nightwing's solo album for the studio.
