In modern Hollywood, almost every self-respecting studio is engaged in the construction of cinematic universes. The company Warner Bros. is no exception, the management of which has decided to reduce the number of original projects in favor of franchises.According to Entertainment Weekly , the characters from the DC universe, the wizards from the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them trilogy, and the characters from the Lego series will soon be accompanied by heroes favorite cartoons from childhood. At the CinemaCon festival, the WB leadership announced the start of construction of the cinematic universe Hanna-Barbera . The famous animation studio of the same name was founded by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera in 1957. In its 44-year history, Hanna-Barbera has given life to hundreds of cartoon characters and won seven Oscars and eight Emmy .  As it became known, the start of the Hanna-Barbera universe will be given by the reboot of the Scooby-Doo franchise, which received the official name at CinemaCon - SCOOB . Veteran animation Tony Cervone took over as director of the film last summer. The premiere of the cartoon about the adventures of Scooby-Doo and his friends is scheduled for September 20, 2018 .  The management of the studio WB is in no hurry to disclose information about what other projects will be included in its new universe, and whether viewers should wait for the crossovers of popular franchises. Earlier it was reported that the animation department of the Hollywood major is preparing reboots of such famous Hanna-Barbera cartoons as The Flintstones and The Jetsons.
