Thundercats return to screens
In the wake of nostalgia for the 80s, many foreign and domestic studios rushed to reshoot the animated series popular in those years. The animation department of Warner Bros. Corporation will not be an exception, having decided to arrange another reboot of the famous franchise about loud cats.The on-screen debut of representatives of the anthropomorphic cats race took place in 1985. The series "Thundercats" enjoyed great success with viewers and lasted four seasons, after which the rights to the cartoon characters were acquired by WB. Over the years, the Hollywood major has created several comics and video games based on the show, and also launched various paraphernalia and souvenirs depicting its main characters. The previous attempt to reboot the animated universe was made in 2011. To the disappointment of the public, Thunder Cats was canceled by Cartoon Network after the first season.  As it became known to the publication Entertainment Weekly, the leaders of Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network will give the franchise another chance to make a triumphant return to the small screens. The third project of the fantasy universe will be called "ThunderCats Roar", and in general will repeat the plot of the hit of the 80s about how the race of humanoid cats had to leave their home world and go to the mysterious planet Third Earth. Representatives of the WB proudly announced that the new product will be full of dizzying action and great humor. Nevertheless, the first official promo-shot of the animated series caused a storm of negativity from the fans of the original, who think that modern animators have completely deprived their favorite characters of their former brutality.
