Underground Thundercats
This spring, we reported that Warner Bros. is preparing a new animated series based on the Thundercats fantasy universe. IGN shares the yet unconfirmed information that at the moment in Hollywood, work is in full swing on another project about the adventures of anthropomorphic cats.In March, online service Netflix and Skydance Media announced 6 Underground, a mysterious action movie about six billionaires who decide to become crime fighters. The script for the film was written by Deadpool authors Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and Michael Bay was invited to direct it. Over the past months, Ryan Reynolds, Dave Franco, Corey Hawkins, Ben Hardy and Melanie Laurent have joined the cast of the film, but Netflix management did not disclose any details about their characters. Now there is a crazy rumor on the web that 6 Underground is a fake project, and in fact Bay and company intend to remove the game version of "Thundercats". The characters in this animated franchise made their TV debut in 1985 on Thunder Cats and quickly gained popularity with audiences of all ages.  In favor of IGN's conspiracy theory is the fact that the budget of the action movie is estimated at $ 150 million. Usually, such solid funds will be allocated for films based on already promoted brands. If we are really talking about the film adaptation of "Thundercats", it becomes clear why Netflix bosses have invited Michael Bay to the project. Previously, the main Hollywood pyromaniac had a hand in creating spectacular blockbusters based on such family franchises as Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
