Michael Bay to stage a robocalypse
Just a month ago, it was reported that Michael Bay became interested in Lobo's solo album and even began negotiations with Warner Bros. It looks like the flamboyant DC comics mercenary will have to wait, as Bay has decided on two projects that he will start filming in the near future, and "Lobo" was not among them.According to the portal Variety, Bay will be working on an action game called 6 Underground this summer. The plot of the film is being kept under wraps, but it is known to be the original idea, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool). Skydance plans to release the movie during the 2019 blockbuster season. However, there is more interest in the project that will follow 6 Underground. The source reports that Bay is eyeing Robocalypse, the film adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson's book. Several years ago, Steven Spielberg was listed as the director of the tape. He even invited Chris Hemsworth, Anne Hathaway and Ben Whishaw to star in the film adaptation. However, in 2013 Spielberg announced that he had found another way to implement the idea of "Robocalypse", and the project was postponed indefinitely. The action of Wilson's novel is set in the future, when robots have filled all spheres of life, but one day technologies get out of control, threatening to destroy all of humanity ...  Spielberg is still listed as the producer of Robocalypse, but he will cede the director's chair to Michael Bay. It is noteworthy that once it was Spielberg who invited the filmmaker to the Transformers franchise, which became Bay's calling card. Michael tried other genres, but 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi and Blood and Sweat: Anabolics didn't even come close to the success of the Autobots and Decepticons.
