Anaconda never crawled around

Image We all remember "Anaconda" - the story of a monster that lives in the Amazon jungle and swallows people whole. More than 20 years have passed since the release of the first part of the franchise, and now the filmmakers have decided to return to the South American crawling creatures again. But this time the action will take place a little further north, in Colombia. Constantin Film and JB Pictures will release a horror movie featuring the once-extinct titanoboa snake. The script for the film will be written by Tony Giglio ("Doom: Annihilation"). Filming is scheduled to begin in 2020.

Titanoboa is an extinct snake native to northeastern Colombia. The length of these creatures could reach 12.8 m, and their weight could exceed a ton. Titanoboas lived on Earth about 58-60 million years ago and are considered the largest representatives of their kind in the entire history of the planet. This ancient monster is comparable to the Megalodon in Meg: Monster of the Depth, only with scales.

The film will be produced by Jeremy Bolt and Robert Culzer, who previously worked together on the Resident Evil franchise. The team is also currently working on the production of the movie "Monster Hunter" starring Milla Jovovich. The release of the film is scheduled for 2020.
