According to Variety , Warner Bros. has invited Eli Roth to lead the highly anticipated film Meg ( Meg ), based on the bestselling book by Steve Alten. Dean Jorgaris is written by Dean Jorgaris, and Bell Avery and Colin Wilson will be producing.In the center of the book are two men forced to join forces to capture a giant prehistoric shark terrorizing the inhabitants of the Californian coast. The monster is a representative of an extinct species of megalodon that lived on Earth in the Cenozoic period.The filmmakers decided to move the events from California to China. Disney started working on the film almost 20 years ago, in 1997.
