According to Deadline, the Californian studio has acquired the rights to film adaptation of John Niven's satirical novel The Second Coming.The book by a popular Scottish writer tells how during the Renaissance, God decided to take a break from righteous work and go on a long-deserved vacation. When the Creator returns from rest, it turns out that hundreds of years have flown by on Earth. To rectify the deplorable situation on the planet, God sends his son into the world. Jesus is reborn in modern New York in the body of a failed musician. Soon, the Son of God realizes that the only way to attract at least some attention is to participate in a popular television show to find young talents ...  The Second Coming will be produced by Hollywood Gang founder Gianni Nunnari (Seven, Startup), who has already announced that he would like to see his compatriot Paolo Genovese (Perfect Strangers) in the director's chair.
