AFI's Best Movies of 2018

Image In Hollywood, the next season of distribution of cinematic awards has started, and therefore many critics, magazines and Internet portals began to make predictions about the favorites of the Oscar race and publish ratings of the best film and television projects of the outgoing year. Today, the famous American Film Institute (AFI) presented its list of the brightest films and TV series of 2018.

The AFI rating is of particular interest to those who appreciate the most important of the arts. Since the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences expanded the list of nominees for the best film of the year to ten films, the Film Institute has managed to predict 89% of the finalists for the main Oscar category.

AFI and the Film Academy are likely to agree again on most of the list this year. One hundred percent coincidence seems unlikely: the dozens of the best films of the year, according to the American Film Institute, were left behind by Roma, Man on the Moon, Vice President and other strong film works that may well interfere in the struggle for the Oscar - 2019 ".

The Film Institute also named the best TV series of 2018. For the honor of all broadcast television in America, the brilliant family drama This Is Us had to take the rap. All other participants in the rating represent cable channels and online services. Top TV shows of the year include the new comedy show The Kominsky Method, the second chapter of the American Crime Story television anthology, and the fourth season of the crime drama Better Call Saul.
