Where does Bourne begin?
The Jason Bourne franchise could continue without Matt Damon, and the USA Network decided to prove it. The Hollywood Reporter found out that the cable channel has ordered a pilot episode of Treadstone, which will be a prequel to the Bourne film series.Fans of the franchise, already from the name of the upcoming show, will guess that it will focus on a secret operation to turn agents into unstoppable mercenaries, known as Project Treadstone, from the moment of its appearance to the present day. The plot will focus on several agents around the world who mysteriously come to their senses and return to completing deadly tasks. The script for the pilot was written by Tim Kring, known primarily as the creator of the fantastic drama Heroes. The episode will be directed by Ramin Bahrani (99 Houses). It is noteworthy that a similar project was once developed by CBS and producer Anthony E. Zuiker, but it was never realized.  In 2016, the movie "Jason Bourne" was released, in which Matt Damon returned to the image of the title character after almost ten years. The action showed average results by the standards of the franchise, and therefore its further fate was in question. Damon and director Paul Greengrass are of the opinion that a sequel is possible, but only when they have an interesting idea for a sequel.
