The adaptation of Call of Duty is ready to go to work

Image At the end of 2015, Activision Corporation opened its own film division to create films based on its famous video games. At the same time it became known that the first picture of the Activision Blizzard Studio division should be the adaptation of the Call of Duty shooter series. As Variety found out, the film based on one of the most popular game franchises of the 21st century is finally ready to go into production.

In April last year, it became known that Activision expects to create a cinematic universe based on Call of Duty in the spirit of Marvel's "Avengers". This idea can only be realized if viewers like the first film of the new franchise. In this regard, the bosses of the American corporation decided to offer an experienced director who had already shot bright action games to start staging a picture.

Stefano Sollima entered negotiations with the leadership of Activision. The debut of the native of Rome in big cinema was the crime thriller “All the cops are bastards”, which brought him a nomination for the prestigious Italian film award “David di Donatello”. This summer Sollima will present his first English-language project - the sequel to the thriller "The Killer".
