Image Activision Blizzard announced that the franchise is finally hitting the big screens on the launch day of another video game in the Call of Duty series, Entertainment Weekly .

The company's management was quick to announce that a new division has been founded - Activision Blizzard Studios , which will focus on film and television projects. Call of Duty is expected to hit the big screens in 2018 or 2019 and will be the first in a whole line of projects based on the popular shooter.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III just went on sale yesterday, November 6th. This is the 12th installment in the main Call of Duty series. However, it has not yet been reported what exactly from the world created in video games will be used in full-length films. The franchise is known for the fact that quite often Hollywood stars are invited to take part in the scoring of shooters. For example, in last year's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare , you can hear the voice of Kevin Spacey.

It is also reported that the new studio is working on an animated television series based on the game Skylanders . The pilot will premiere in the second quarter of 2016, with Justin Long, Ashley Tizdale, Jonathan Banks and Norm McDonald voicing the cartoon's main characters.
