Wonder Woman Changes the Game

Image Spoiler alert! It seems that viewers can no longer puzzle over how the DC MCU writers will bring the brave pilot Steve Trevor back to life. Warner Bros. Studio ready to surpass herself and not give any intelligible explanation at all for the appearance of the hero Chris Pine in the upcoming blockbuster "Wonder Woman: 1984".

Recall that Pine was spotted on the set of the movie comic book last year. A rumor immediately appeared on the Web that his hero would resurrect thanks to the deal between Princess Diana and the insidious god Hades. Soon, fans of the DC Universe came up with some more interesting theories about how the writers could bring Trevor back to the screens.

Sensational news came from the WB camp today. Producer Charles Roven made it clear that the new film about Diana's adventures should not be considered a sequel to Wonder Woman. “Director Patty Jenkins immediately told studio bosses that she was preparing a separate heroine story, not a sequel to her 2017 blockbuster,, Rowan told Vulture. -The action of the picture will unfold in a completely different time era. At the same time, it will contain everything that led to the success of the first solo album of Wonder Woman - emotions, humor and action”.

Vulture journalists suspected that Charles had simply misrepresented his thoughts. They decided to clear things up with their insider on the Wonder Woman 1984 team. To their surprise, he confirmed the words of Rowena and said that the Jenkins tape will become a completely autonomous project in the spirit of the films about James Bond and Indiana Jones.

The unnamed insider, although related to cinema, is clearly not familiar with its history. If some parts of the James Bond film are really not connected by a common plot, then the pictures about Indiana Jones have never stood out from the same row.

At the moment, the WB already has a couple of standalone movie comics in the works, including the solo films of Joker and Batman. In the case of these paintings, it was clear why the studio management wants to take them outside the boundaries of the main universe. The film company needed an alternative Joker, because the audience did not welcome the Clown Prince of the underworld of Gotham, played by Jared Leto. Well, the place of the performer of the role of the Dark Knight turned out to be completely vacant when Ben Affleck left the franchise.

In the case of Wonder Woman 1984, the situation looks much less obvious. Diana's first solo album became a 100% box office hit and finally brought WB long-awaited critical praise. In this regard, the decision of the studio management not to associate 1984 not only with the rest of the MCU, but also with the picture of 2017, looks at least strange.

It should be noted that WB officials have not yet had time to react to Charles Roven's interview.
