Gal Gadot will interview Fidel Castro

Image DC MCU star Gal Gadot will continue his fruitful partnership with Warner Bros. According to Deadline, the Israeli will help the Hollywood studio work on a political thriller based on Peter Kornble's article "My Dear Fidel".

An employee of the Washington National Security Archives was published on Politico in April this year. In his article, Kornblu spoke about the meeting between ABC presenter Lisa Howard and Fidel Castro, which played a fateful role in the development of US-Cuban relations.

Howard began her television career as an actress. In the late 50s, she changed her profession and took up journalism. In 1960, Lisa became the first woman to interview Nikita Khrushchev. Three years later, ABC sent Howard to Cuba to chat with Fidel Castro. A trusting relationship was immediately established between the commandant and the American TV presenter. It was in an interview with Lisa that the Cuban leader admitted for the first time that he would like to improve relations with Washington.

In the mid-60s, a black streak came in the life of a TV presenter. She first came out in support of Republican Kenneth Keating in the New York State Senate elections, although the ABC leadership openly supported Robert F. Kennedy. When Lisa refused to praise the Democrat, the channel bosses showed her the door. Howard suffered a miscarriage shortly after losing his job. Lisa never managed to recover and overcome her depression: on July 4, 1965, she took her own life by taking a lethal dose of barbiturates.

Although Gal Gadot is still attached to the project only as a producer, Hollywood insiders do not exclude that she will soon return to the negotiating table with the WB leadership to discuss the role of the famous TV presenter.

The script for the biographical drama will be written by Chris Brenketo, creator of the popular crime series "Husks".
