Sergey Yuryevich was born in 1935 in Leningrad. His father was the artistic director of the Moscow Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, and his mother was a music teacher, so that the boy was surrounded by creative people from childhood. So Yursky was among the students of the Leningrad Theater Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky. The talent of the young man did not go unnoticed, and two years later he was invited to the Gorky Bolshoi Drama Theater. Here he made his debut as a director.

Nationwide fame was brought to Jurassic by the roles of Vikniksor in the "Republic of ShKID" and Ostap Bender in "The Golden Calf". In total, Sergei Yuryevich has more than four dozen works on his account - and this is only in the cinema. During his career, the artist has played many diverse characters. In recent years, Yursky has acted little in films and on television (the last in the list of his works is the documentary "Yan Karsky. Righteous Among the World"), but he did not leave the theatrical stage, continuing to play in performances of the Theater. Moscow City Council.
