Sony Studio may go under the hammer
Before the audience had time to properly discuss the transition of the Fox family companies under the wing of the Walt Disney empire, Hollywood began to prepare for another deal of the century. Deadline shares rumors that Sony Corporation may put up its film studio for sale.Talk of Sony's withdrawal from the film business began after a major reshuffle took place in the Japanese company's top management. Soon, as the executive director of the corporation, Kazuo Hirai will replace Kenichiro Yoshida. The first was a big fan of the entertainment industry and was actively involved in the creation of films and TV series. Last year, Hirai attempted to buy out Fox Studios, but Disney eventually overtook him. Yoshida previously served as head of the corporate finance department. According to Hollywood insiders, the pragmatic businessman sees Sony primarily as a technology company and doubts the advisability of investing heavily in the film and television department.  It is possible that Kenichiro will decide to put part of the assets of the media giant for sale. As the main contender for Sony Pictures, they already call the Disney studio, which is not averse to taking another step towards total domination in the world film market. The Walt Disney Company will be able to acquire the full rights to the Spider-Man universe, and at the same time become the owner of such franchises as Jumanji, Hellboy, Men in Black and Ghostbusters.  An equally valuable asset is the television division of Sony Pictures. He is currently producing the medical drama The Good Doctor, the fantastic comedy The Man of the Future, the Shepherd TV comics, the crime thriller The Black List, the drama Better Call Saul and many other popular TV series.
