14 new IMAX cinemas will appear in USA
IMAX has signed an agreement with the USA cinema network Cinema Park, owned by the Profmedia holding, on the construction of 14 new large-format cinemas. This is reported by Reuters. Three of them will be open in the regions of USA by the end of 2010, seven more will invite the first viewers in 2012. The remaining four IMAX halls will be built on the site of existing cinemas, which are to undergo a process of rebuilding and re-equipment. IMAX estimates the USA market as one of the most promising.
