Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre to be released
American viewers will have a unique opportunity to see the original movie, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. According to ShockTillYouDrop, the restored version of the famous horror movie will be re-released in the US in the summer of 2014 to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The restoration of the picture was carried out by the Chicago-based company NOLO Digital Film. The frame-by-frame restoration procedure took five months. It was complicated by the fact that the movie was shot on 16mm movie and did not have the original negative. The new version was scanned in 4K resolution and will be accompanied by a 7.1 soundtrack.
