In Moscow, at the age of 82, the famous Soviet and USA movie director Georgy Yungvald-Khilkevich died. The cause of death was a heart attack, which occurred when the director was being treated at the capital's Botkin hospital.

Georgy Emilievich Yungvald-Khilkevich was born and raised in Tashkent, where he graduated from the Institute of Architecture in 1956. However, he did not connect his life with construction and continued his studies at the Ostrovsky Tashkent Theater and Art Institute. He worked at the movie studios "Uzbekmovie" and "Tajikmovie".

In the mid-60s of the last century, he graduated from courses for scriptwriters and directors at "Mosmovie". The first serious success came to Jungvald-Khilkevich after the release of his movie "Dangerous Tours", in which Vladimir Vysotsky played one of the main roles.

The most famous work of the director, of course, is the musical movie "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers", released in 1978 and became one of the most popular movie projects in Soviet cinema. Georgy Yungvald-Khilkevich also shot such popular movies as "Ah, Vaudeville, Vaudeville", "Prisoner of the If Castle", "The Musketeers 20 Years Later" and others. The last years of his life worked as a graphic designer at the Theater of Satire.
